Hash Code was a global team programming competition organized by Google.cite-ref-0-1-0[1]cite-ref-2[2] The participants work in teams of 2–4 peoplecite-ref-3[3] solving a programming challenge inspired by software engineering at Google. The first edition was a local event at the Google office in Paris, with 200 participants in attendance.cite-ref-4[4] Since then, the competition expanded globally,cite-ref-5[5]cite-ref-6[6] and reached over 128,000 registered participants in the 2021 edition.cite-ref-7[7] The competition consists of a qualification round, after which the top teams are invited to a final event.cite-ref-0-1-1[1]
